Brandywine Living at Alexandria (Brandywine) is a wonderful senior living community located in Alexandria, VA. This community is situated in a fantastic area, has a very dedicated, professional staff, and possesses an atmosphere that is breathtakingly lovely and peaceful. Brandywine focuses on providing services for assisted living as well as memory care. This community has both studios with one bedroom and companion suites. Each option includes a kitchenette, a phone, cable TV, and wireless internet, among other things.
Residents of the 116 apartments that make up Brandywine's six-story, premium community have access to a wide variety of convenient on-site amenities. A movie theater, a pub, a therapy pool, and an all-day dining hall are just some of the amenities that are available to both residents and guests of the community. Residents of this community have access to personal care around the clock, including nursing personnel, support with activities of daily living, management of medications, and mental health programs. This gorgeous community offers its residents the best of both worlds by deftly integrating the quaintness of a residential neighborhood with the practicality of a shopping center, giving them the finest of both worlds in one convenient location. The cost of living at Brandywine is around $6,000 per month on average.
The activities department at Brandywine is one of the community's standout features. The vast activities program of this community is able to consistently offer its residents three to four different activities each day, which will help them remain more active, engaged, and healthy. Regular activities like these also help cultivate and strengthen social connections and build a sense of community among the residents, which largely improves their quality of life as a whole.
The Promenade Club is easily one of my favorite aspects of this community. The main goal of The Promenade Club is to make sure that each resident is able to live an active, socially involved life by affording them access to unique and engaging activities on a regular basis. This program gives each resident more freedom, greater opportunities for social interaction, and higher levels of mental and physical stimulation, which support a more fulfilling life overall.
The Landing Alexandria (The Landing) is a brand-new community in Alexandria, VA. The Landing is a nine-story, 163-suite community with charming private balconies. This community provides independent living, assisted living, and memory care options, which provides a smoother transition for residents who need to change their level of care. The Landing provides various amenities to their residents, including 3 gourmet meals daily, fitness center, spa, salon, entertainment room, concierge services, housekeeping, enriching activities that include Watermark University workshops, and more. There are also private dining areas are available for celebrations and gatherings, and a pleasant wine room for fun wine tastings. monthly rates start at $7,000
The Landing provides four levels of care: independent living (located on the community's top three floors), assisted living, memory care, and "The Bridge" (intermediate between assisted living and memory care — ideal for those who are becoming forgetful and require assistance with medication management, for instance). Each level of care has its own floor(s), each with a central theme (a beach-themed floor, for example, features artwork picturing the beach in relaxing blue and green tones) and finely planned furnishings. Independent living suites feature full kitchens, whereas, for safety concerns, assisted living suites have kitchens but lack cooktops, disposals, and dishwashers. Understandably, the memory care suites do not include kitchens at all. All suites have a wide bathroom door opening with a non-slip shower and floors that gently slope to the drain.
One of the most impressive features of The Landing, beyond the gorgeous community itself, is its idyllic location. The landing is situated in National Landing’s Potomac Yard, which is in the heart of Virginia’s largest walkable downtown area. The community’s location allows residents and guests to enjoy inspiring views of the Potomac River. The Landing is also just minutes away from many wonderful restaurants, attractions, and transportation hubs.
Tribute at One Loudoun (Tribute) is assisted living and memory care community located in Ashburn, VA. This community offers a variety of lovely floor plan options for studio and one-bedroom apartments. These suites have a private bathroom, a roll-in shower or bathtub, wheelchair accessibility, a kitchenette, cable or satellite television, wireless internet, and individual climate controls. The memory care apartments are built to make it easier for people with memory problems to get around on their own.
Tribute offers a variety of community services, including non-medical care 24 hours a day, assistance with activities of daily living, medication management, on-duty nursing and physical therapy, mobile physician services, scheduled transportation, reservation and appointment scheduling, housekeeping and laundry services, pet therapy, concierge services, and security 24 hours a day. Residents can enjoy an on-site movie theater, pub and bistro, salon, exercise facility, indoor and outdoor social areas, organized entertainment and events, and much more. The monthly base cost at Tribute is approximately $7,000 per month.
The food is surely one of my favorite features of Tribute. The skilled chef makes three gourmet meals every day, and the dining experience is outstanding. They also offer tailored meals for individuals with dietary limitations and preferences. Each time you sit down to dine is a very delightful experience. I also adore the community’s Cadence Connections program, which is designed to assist individuals with mild memory loss. Through this therapeutic method, Tribute uses food, music, art, and interaction to provide physically and psychologically stimulating activities customized to each resident's skills, supporting their mental and physical health and acuity.
Acclaim at Belmont Bay (Acclaim), formerly known as Aspire at Belmont Bay, is a prestigious independent retirement community located in Woodbridge, VA. This community offers an independent lifestyle to residents who are at least 62 years old and was designed to give residents the ability to exercise control and make choices so that they can enjoy an easier way of life. Here, you can live like you're at a resort, with beautiful views of the surrounding area from your private patio or balcony, great amenities, and friendly, welcoming service.
Acclaim is a residential rental community that presents residents with the opportunity to live an active and independent lifestyle in exchange for a one-time community fee of $3,500. The monthly payment can range anywhere from $2,700 to $4,250, depending on the size and layout of the apartment. The community features a picturesque setting, easily navigable walking paths, and a wealth of thoughtful amenities, such as an indoor pool, an outdoor patio, an on-site theater, an art studio, a salon, and a spa. In addition to the maintenance and utilities that are already included in the rent, there are also numerous services available to residents, such as transportation, around-the-clock security, concierge service, and weekly housekeeping.
I truly enjoy the many lush apartment layouts that Acclaim has to offer. These apartments are lovely and well-designed, and each apartment features a fully-equipped kitchen, a sitting area, a balcony, a large walk-in closet, a spacious bedroom, and a washer and dryer. These apartments instantly provide that sense of home and comfort that we all seek.
