400 N Washington St
Alexandria, VA 22314, United States
Sunrise of Old Town Alexandria (Sunrise) is in the heart of Historic Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, just outside of Washington, DC. This community is close to restaurants, boutiques, theaters, antique shops, and other historical city features. Sunrise offers independent living, assisted living, respite, and memory care, to meet a diverse range of care needs. Sunrise offers its residents various outdoor opportunities, including gardens, walking paths, porches, and parks (Founders Park and Waterfront Park). I also love that this community has programs dedicated to the interests of the community residents, keeping their bodies, minds, and spirits enriched with engagements and activities throughout the day. Sunrise also provides residents with trained professional staff 24/7 who assist residents with activities of daily living, wellness checks, housekeeping, laundry, fitness, and much more. Sunrise rates start at $5,000 per month.
One of the outstanding traits of Sunrise is its approach to keeping residents and their families connected. This was apparent during the rise of COVID when they made it their mission to ensure families continued to stay in contact with their loved ones by supplying residents with iPads equipped with various communication applications. This invaluable gesture helped demonstrate Sunrise's commitment to going beyond just the physical care of residents and meeting their equally important mental and emotional needs.

One of the star qualities of the Brandywine community is its activities department.
